League Cup
Dover Athletic U13’s travelled up to Eltham, London in a League Cup fixture today against unbeaten Metrogas FC, who are currently top of the North section table. Metrogas proved themselves to be a finely tuned team, taking the lead with the only goal scored in the first half. It was certainly a game of two halves, with Dover really picking up the pace during the second half, with Zaire Smith scoring to bring Dover level. The boys continued to be a tough opponent for the London side and in the 66th minute, Zaire Smith ran into a fearless attack taking the ball around a defender and the keeper to score the winning goal. A great 2-1 victory for Dover which takes them into the quarter finals.
