Dover Athletic U15 were 1 of 45 grassroots teams selected by the FA to show their support of the FA Rainbow laces movement aimed at promoting diversity and equality within football.
A ‘sport for all’ campaign run in partnership with Stonewall has been much publicised throughout the Premier league recently and we were very proud to wear the laces for Sunday’s match and very pleased that all our players recognise that sport should have no boundaries.
The players travelled away to Thanet for Sunday’s fixture which proved a very successful day having not only supported the FA’s campaign but by also beating Thanet 2-5 with some fantastic football on display to match the colourful array of laces.
Goals from Ambriz (2), Bunn, Wilkins and Kennedy topped off a dominant display by all players.
