Dover continued their recent good form with a comfortable win over Whitstable this week . The boys were asked to start quick and were soon 1-0 up in the second minute , good work down the right saw Max Spurr put a cross / shot across the 6 yard box that was directed in by a defender . Dover were 2-0 up after 14 minutes , a quick throw by Joss Henworth found Lewis Saunders down the left who beat a few defenders before hitting an unstoppable shot that crashed in off the far post .
Dover were comfortable 2-0 up at half time , Whitstable causing little threat even with the wind behind them , longer balls were easily being dealt with by the back 3.

Dover started the second half well , playing good football through the midfield and wing backs causing a threat in the wider areas.

Whitstable began to tire and in the 70th minute the floodgates began to open , Max Spurr hit a shot from 25 yards past the static keeper 3-0 . Captain Alfie Smith-Bainbridge , moved to centre half due to an injury , scored from a direct free kick with a great curling strike to make it 4-0 and he also added a 5th late on with a glancing header from a Kyle Manton free kick . Another good performance and result , also a second clean sheet on the trot was pleasing too . Margate next week will be tougher but the boys are getting better each week .
