Dover were away to Hythe on a great morning for football. The boys had a strong squad out this week and it showed because after 1 minute Dover were 1-0 up with a quick attack that led to a corner, George Nikaj whipped a corner in and Big Ethan O’Donnell who is a massive danger from corners rised above the Hythe defender to make it 1-0. Dover didn’t stop there and pushed on again for more goals, this time with good work down the right hand side from Liam McVie who dazzled 3 defenders played the ball into George Nikaj to work it onto his left foot and squeezed it passed the Hythe Keeper to make it 2. Dover again played some beautiful football in the first half which was again a joy to watch, and again led to more goals. This time Dover carved an opening with great midfield play and a great bursting run by Skipper Owen Armstrong, who was played through for a 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper, who saved superbly but the ball ran through to Liam McVie, to reward him for his first half display. But Dover didn’t stop there and carried on its attacking prowess with another through ball which led to the keeper making a good save, but the strikers instinct of George Nikaj couldn’t be stopped to make it 4 with a simple tab in.

The 2nd half was a very much a different story and was the other half of the team who were asked to work, Dover sat off and took there foot off the gas, and had to dig deep, which this side has no trouble doing, to keep thier 3rd clean sheet in 2019. Again with Luke Lockhart, and Arthur Clarke being stand out performers in the 2nd half. Dover managed to contain Hythe and keep their clean sheet and gain another 3 points.
