Dover played Faversham today in what is becoming a very competitive league. Dover started on the back foot with Faversham pushing lots of numbers forward and after Dover missed two tackles in a row, Faversham managed to score from close range. In a first half of few chances 1-0, became 2-0 when again Dover failed to clear the ball Faversham scored from inside the box. Faversham deserving of their lead started the second half slowly and it was Dover who pulled a goal back when after a number of shots were blocked on the edge of the box, Bailey Wadhams managed to fire a shot low in the bottom corner. The goal lifted Dover and they began to put Faversham under some sustained pressure however a goalkeeping error gifted the away side a two goal cushion. Dover did set up a frantic finish after Owen Armstrong found the top corner direct from a free kick from 30 yards but it was too little too late.
