Dover maintained their 100% record in the Kent South League with a resounding 6-1 victory over Ramsgate.

Having only edged a hard-fought win against their opponents a few weeks earlier, Dover knew that a good start to the game was imperative. They certainly did this as they were on the front foot from the outset, dominating the midfield, moving the ball quickly, and attacking from the flanks. Having already delivered a few in-swinging right-footed crosses from the left, man of the match Henry Mileham then went outside the full-back, and with the Ramsgate defence unable to deal with the cross, Eban Gurung clinically opened the scoring. After the lively Finlay O’Shea was fouled just outside the area, Luka Radojevic’s free kick from the right was deftly finished by Charlie Gill to double the lead. Gill then added to his tally, before Gurung got his second goal as well after being put through from a fine Ash Rai pass to complete a dominant first half display.

Ramsgate showed more resistance at the start of the second half, but the alert Sam Tansil was quick to rob a Ramsgate defender of possession, and made no mistake sliding the ball into the net. Dover then conceded their first goal of the season, ironically an unfortunate own goal. This then spurred Dover to push for more goals, and in the closing stages a George Nikaj effort from the edge of the area completed the scoring in a comprehensive win.
