Dover were dominant in the first half although a number of chances were not converted. The lively Dwayne Kattah latched onto a through ball to slot home for a well deserved 1 – 0 lead at half time. The second half was a different story with Herne Bay piling on the pressure and scoring two goals with less than fifteen minutes remaining. However, with virtually the last kick of the game Harry Webb rose well above the Herne Bay defence to head in from a corner. Final and probably fair score 2 – 2.
