Dover played Sittingbourne at home looking to try and turn around a recent run of poor form. In freezing windy conditions it was Dover who took the lead early on with Liam McVie tirelessly chasing down a loose back pass before rounding the goal keeper to score from an acute angle. 10 minutes later Dover were 2-0 up after good interplay on the right between Raslin Rai and Liam McVie, Kai Griffin was sent free to score from close range. Dover then took their foot off the gas and were lucky to take a 2-0 lead in as first Tyler King tipped a ball around the post before, Sittingbourne hit the post themselves towards the end of the first half. The second half started as first ended with Sittingbourne on top and pressed Dover back for most of the half. It was no surprise midway through the second half Dover conceded. After a free kick on the right was only parried, it was Sittingbourne who reacted first to halve the deficit. 10 minutes later Sittingbourne were level. Dover failed to clear the ball in the middle of the pitch and were punished.
