DAFC U13’s 5-1 Thanet

Our young ‘whites’ continue to march on. Full of confidence from their last result they approached today’s game where they left the last with 5 well taken goals, 4 from Wade Hughes and 1 from Jamie Kennedy all of which stemmed from creative play within midfield.

We’ve been very impressed with the link up play of the forwards who look as though they’ve played together for years and were a little unlucky not to have added more with the post being struck on 3 occasions.

Today we welcomed new signing Jose Antonio Solanas from Spain, who demonstrated fantastic composure on his debut at the back, continually looking to pass and move, and looks set to be a great addition to the squad.

A number of noteworthy performances throughout but a special mention goes to Karolis Piragis. We had no goalkeeper for today’s match but he offered to fill the void and was excellent.

Each opponent poses a different challenge and it was great today to see the boys working hard to adapt and complimenting each other on their efforts.

Still lots to work on, but a good team bond is forming with each passing session which will make us stronger. Frightening up front, resilient at the back with a sprinkle of flair in the middle is proving a great recipe for entertaining football.

Team mascot today was ‘little’ Harry from Dover Rangers u7 who’s voice of support is often heard above us coaches.

Well done lads. Another great result.
