A terrific start to the season for our u13’s in their first competitive fixture since the team formed. 8 weeks of tough pre-season training finally put to the test in breath taking fashion.
Today’s individual challenges were to the wingers to support in defence when possession was lost. Their application and work ethic was exceptional in supporting both defenders and attackers throughout.
Goals came from Luca (4), Jamie (2), Wade (2) and Qimmarie (2) with assists from five other players. The most notable goal culminating from 10 passes around the pitch before Jamie slotted home what was a fantastic team effort.
Harry, our new team captain, rallied the team throughout and demonstrated why he’s deserving of the arm band.
Could not have asked for a better start to the season. Our next fixture will pose new challenges but with confidence this high I see no reason why we can’t replicate today’s performance.
